What’s All the Buzz About?

Introducing the newest name in canned cocktails, CanBee Cocktails! CanBee was founded by beekeepers to highlight how important bees are to nature and our lives. We’re dedicated to creating canned cocktails that do good and taste even better! But why canned cocktails? We believe that everyone deserves to experience the CanBee difference, anywhere and anytime. So, with the convenience of a can, you’re able to enjoy CanBee time and time again. Drink CanBee Cocktails at the beach, in your backyard, camping, tailgating, during a movie night… the options are endless.

But wait – we said we’re making canned cocktails that taste even better. You’re probably wondering what makes CanBee different from other hard seltzers and canned cocktails on the market! Read on to find out.

Farm-Fresh Honey. Handcrafted Gin.

At CanBee, we know the power of a great drink, and that a cocktail is only as good as its ingredients. To create the perfect cocktail, we start with an artfully crafted spirit and complement it with fresh ingredients and mixers. To begin our CanBee canned cocktails collection, we’re bringing you a tried-and-true favorite: the Bee’s Knees.

Our Bee’s Knees’ base spirit is carefully crafted gin. To complement the liquor and make it a true Bee’s Knees, next you need some sweetness and citrus. Is there anything more delicious than honey fresh off the farm? We don’t think so. Farm-fresh honey adds an authentic sugary flavor that enhances the gin. Finally, we combine this with a touch of real lemon to create that quality cocktail experience you crave right out of the can.

What’s a Bee’s Knees?

“The Bee’s Knees is a Prohibition-era cocktail featuring gin, lemon juice and honey. The unique name is a convention of the time: The phrase ‘bee’s knees’ was popular slang used to call something excellent or outstanding” (Liquor.com). We can attest to that!

There’s also a bit of an interesting story behind this classic cocktail. “The drink is credited to Frank Meier, an Austrian-born bartender who plied his trade at the Hôtel Ritz Paris during the 1920s. It’s a simple extension of the classic Gin Sour (gin, lemon, sugar) that features honey instead of sugar,” (Liquor.com). “The honey creates a richer drink, and it may have been employed to mask the taste of subpar gin, which was prevalent at the time.”

Our farm-fresh honey absolutely adds to the delicious taste of CanBee, but you can rest assured that our gin is far from subpar.

Canned Cocktails with a Mission

While we can all enjoy a fantastic cocktail, we also believe in making a difference. Bees are one of the most important species on our planet. You can thank them for every third bite of food you eat and for protecting our trees and ecosystems. That’s why we donate a portion of our sales from every can we sell to bee conservancies around the world and in our local communities. So, enjoy the taste of a bee’s hard work, and raise a toast to making our planet a better place.
